Shooting guard
The shooting guard is a perimeter player whose main role is to score, especially from mid-range and beyond the three-point line.
Overview
Known as the "two", the shooting guard is usually one of the team’s best outside shooters. They score off the dribble and off the ball, moving to find open looks and knocking down jump shots.
As a secondary ball-handler, the shooting guard also helps bring the ball up, creates their own shot, and defends the opposing guard on the perimeter.

- Scores from mid-range and three-point range.
- Moves without the ball to get open for shots.
